I am very excited to share that I represented the sale of the iconic LUMEN building. This space is iconic because it hits several landmarks. First, it's location - it is located just across the street from the world-renowned Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Second, the site previously housed the iconic Tower Records, the one and only record and CD provider for music enthusiasts. Third, one of the tenants, Atlas Workbase, provides an innovative concept of renting work space for conferences or meetings by the hour, week or month. It is essentially the same idea as WeWork which began in New York City, however Atlas is putting down roots right here in Seattle.

This transaction was a challenge mainly because it was a mixed-use building; therefore, the tenants involved were office and retail spaces. In addition, there were tenant improvements in progress but in the end with everyone's cooperation, this iconic building changed ownership.

The 500 Mercer Street building is steeped in NW and Scandinavian history. The word "LUMEN" itself means light and peace.
